Oh God, Why My Only Child recounts what the author experienced when her only child became permanently brain damaged due to medical malpractice.

The brain damage was irreversible with her child ending up in a persistent vegetative state. Come and hear the answer the author states God gave her when she asked a question, only God Himself could answer: “Oh God Why My Child?”

Reverend Laquanda Washington

Rev. Washington is a native of Gaffney SC – the daughter of Mr. Melvin Branon and Ms. Annie Jones. She is married to Mr. Travis Washington and to they have one son they affectionally call TJ….

Her roots in the Gospel began under the leadership of Dr. J.W. Sanders. Sr – Bethel Baptist Church in Gaffney.

She has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Social Work from Winthrop University and a master’s degree in leadership for Evangelism and Discipleship from CIU.

She continues her work for the Lord now at St. Mark United Methodist Church: working with Pastor Charlie Thomas in Sumter, South Carolina, where she serves as the Coordinator for the Lay Leaders and Evangelism Ministry.

This Ministry works closely with the Pastor…. and the congregation to help train leaders as Christian Disciples, who are reflective in their faith shown in the church and at home.

Come join us on 5th Sunday Morning, April 30th at 11:00 am, to hear the word from Reverend Laquanda Washington.
